  • NEW TO WEBNOVEL Tab on Featured Page

You gotta be kidding me! The books on this tab are as old as 2018, earlier 2019. There's nothing new there!

Let's see:

Accidentally Married a Fox God | The Sovereign Lord Spoils His Wife - 1rst chapter released on 22 October 2018
Tempest of the Stellar War - 1rst chapter released on 30 March 2018
Abyss Domination - 1rst chapter released on 09 September 2019
Ninth In the World - 1rst chapter released on 16 September 2019
God Emperor - 1rst chapter released on 19 June 2018
The Achievement Junkie - 1rst chapter released on 10 June 2019
Godly Model Creator - 1rst chapter released on 24 August 2018

Meaning, none of them are NEW! None of them were released in the last 3 months, something I could understand as relevantly being publicized as new arrivals.
Once again, some authors and books are being privileged with undeserved publicity (since they aren't new) while other truly NEW works are relegated to obscurity.
Bias and favoritism from WN team, not to mention it's really boring to see the same books over and over again when you look for something fresh.

    NEW to Webnovel doesn't mean new works. It means novels that might be interesting to readers who are NEW to Webnovel, and hence have never read those novels before.

        'Suggestions for new readers', for instance. Anyway, a tab like this is useless, since everything in the featured page is suggestion for new and habitué readers.

            Slewis They have the ranking system for novels with less than 30 days, and it's showed both in the featured page as a scrolling tab with the 15 first positions, as in the Explore tab, with searchable options. In the app. But on the website, it's like PenelopetheSpider said.

            Meaning, the NEW TO WEBNOVEL is absolutely useless, as PenelopetheSpider pointed out. It at least could be the same as in the app = the new novel ranking.

            Not to mention, a WHOLE machine translated tab. It's such a desservice to readers!

                  It's true. When I published my novel a month ago, it's been under top 15. But when I don't saw my rank anymore I made a thread why I can't see my ranking anymore. A user told me that your novel should be 15k + words and will be ranked for the first 30 days. And I was fine with that. But I was still confused becasue those novels under New ranking was the novels that was been there longer than mine.

                    I published my novel last dec 08. I got ranked on New for the top 15, but after a month, I was put off. I can't see my rank anymore. That's when I found out that it will be rank in 30 days since it was published. But now since I saw this list which had been here longer than mine made me doubted WN and made me disappointed.
                    I don't know anything but just a guess , did they put those novels who have a contract with them that was newly published and placed their ranking under new to get more exposure? If so I understand them. They just wanted to publicized those new novels that has contract with them. It was still business.

                    EVEN THOUGH, they should have put it in other Tab. They stick it in that ranking breaking their rules which was ranked for the first 30 days then put off those new originals that is doing good recently because it was plus 30 days.

                    It is just unfair. Really. It made me disappointed for days.

                    I love Webnovel but you should take note of this. What is happening made new original authors discouraged to write new novels.
