Craftsman System in My Hero Academia.
It's a good Boku no Hero Academia fanfic which consists of a Sharkboy who crafts things (includes technology). Its chapters are long too, about 3000 words per chap. One thing I didn't like is the overly long paragraphs, like hell, a paragraph could fit my 5+ inch screen easily!
Jhrm11 I'm not sure if my fanfic will suffice but you can try a few of my fanfiction if you like nasuverse or fate mashed up with other universe, most of them being self-insert tho while there's a few other with Shirou as the protagonist.
