rosi32 You don't have to pay anything to write. Just go to the 'Create' on the browser(main page of webnovel) and star writing! As for the contract, you have to at least have a lot of readers and maybe 400 collections in a month (this, I'm not clearly sure about it).

Another possible chances for you to get a contract:
1. 50,000 word count (or you can only have 15k word count and the novel is very popular then, you'll have higher chances of getting a contract.)
2. Stable release rate.
3. You can simply join the recent WPC to get a quicker and surer chance to get a contract. (for as long as you win the contest or at the top ranking.) (And based on my experience, this is more legit and faster.)
4. You have to at least rank within the 350 rankings,
5. And, it really depends on Webnovel if your novel catches their attention and offers you the contract.

I'm not sure about this, but that's everything I know that can answer your question.

Anyway, best of luck!

You certainly do not need 400 collections per month or rank among the top 350, that's absurd. But yes, otherwise PoisonLily is correct. 50,000 words and a stable release rate, or you can try your hand with WPC and get top 10 in the contest.

hi... can anyone please tell me if webnovel sign contracts with authors from all over the world or from specific countries that they have branches there....in short I am from north Africa, Egypt..so do they have an office here and if I want a contract... will it work or not?... kindly anyone answer me... thank you..

elinora they sign pepole form all over to world, they already have contracts form pepole in those countries as long as you have a bank account for them to send you money and you have photo ID you are good to go

          4 days later

And the thing about 200$ to 400$ in the first month
          how that works?

Rak_Nay For the first four months, as long as you write and post 1,500 words everyday, you get $200 a month. But that is only for the first four months. You no longer get it on the fifth month and beyond.

This is called the minimum guaranteed sum.

You no longer earn $400 a month. You used to, under the old contract, where the more you wrote, the more you earned, but now they want daily updates of minimum 1,500 words per day rather than 50,000 (or 80,000) words a month.

Rak_Nay I think I had around 150 collections and less than 30k words when they first contacted me... I didn't do anything other then writing. Just keep releasing and they will call out to you. The most important factor is that you release regularly! It doesn't matter to them if you release 1 chapter per week or 2 but they HAVE to be regularly. No break and no week without a chapter...
I don't know how imprtant the retention rate is or something but it appears they are overlooking your data too...
You have to look at it from there point of view. They want to give those people the recommendations with whom they can earn the most money... So if they recommend you it should dramatically boost your valid reads and collections. I don't know how it is for the others but my last recommendation brought me daily 15-18 collections and 2k to 3k valid views...I can't tell you if that is high or whatever...There are many people with much more views and less chaps than me here XD
If you didn't release yet I would recommend you wait until you have 30 chapters stocklpiled. If you can easily release 60 chapters your first month you will have it easier getting a good ranking during your new novel time...
