Rak_Nay For the first four months, as long as you write and post 1,500 words everyday, you get $200 a month. But that is only for the first four months. You no longer get it on the fifth month and beyond.
This is called the minimum guaranteed sum.
You no longer earn $400 a month. You used to, under the old contract, where the more you wrote, the more you earned, but now they want daily updates of minimum 1,500 words per day rather than 50,000 (or 80,000) words a month.
Rak_Nay I think I had around 150 collections and less than 30k words when they first contacted me... I didn't do anything other then writing. Just keep releasing and they will call out to you. The most important factor is that you release regularly! It doesn't matter to them if you release 1 chapter per week or 2 but they HAVE to be regularly. No break and no week without a chapter...
I don't know how imprtant the retention rate is or something but it appears they are overlooking your data too...
You have to look at it from there point of view. They want to give those people the recommendations with whom they can earn the most money... So if they recommend you it should dramatically boost your valid reads and collections. I don't know how it is for the others but my last recommendation brought me daily 15-18 collections and 2k to 3k valid views...I can't tell you if that is high or whatever...There are many people with much more views and less chaps than me here XD
If you didn't release yet I would recommend you wait until you have 30 chapters stocklpiled. If you can easily release 60 chapters your first month you will have it easier getting a good ranking during your new novel time...
Rak_Nay even christmas and your birthday. The solution is either you create a stockpile of chapters for times you are ill or have no time or you are able to write more than 1 chapter per day.(at least at some days)
Some people seem to misunderstand something. It is not necessary to use the MGS! You can release in your own speed and still get contracted. It is just that you won't get 200$ guaranteed your first 4 months... But that doesn't mean that you can't get them because of that. If you are good and have a good ranking, you can still earn more than 200$...with 5 chaps per week. It is just less likely for most people and novels...

Not sure about these 'rules' about popularity anymore.
Right now on Ongoing Releases there are some contracted books locked at chapter 24 and with only 1.2k views. They're not translated books and seems "pretty out of league" from what we usually see in WN. Like 'Wattpad/Amazon style'. Perhaps the most sawvy around know more about new rules.

My book has 20 k views, a collection of 160 which makes it in the top 120 novels for collections (Weekly).
I got contracted by them my novel is called "I am the Universe"
However i stopped writing because i got little feedback.
I might start re-uploading since i have a whole world building to it.
