Hello hello. I'm back again with another PSA because it seems that this one is crucial.

Have you noticed that you can no longer vote on your story, even though it fits all the requirements to be eligible for ranking? Is your story showing up with a Locked status on Inkstone? Are you completely puzzled as to why this change has happened?

Fear not! This is not an ad.

The reason for why this has happened is simple.

This is pertaining to all new books published on Webnovel. As there has been a recent high increase in spam books (i.e. those with customer service numbers) as well as books with very questionable content that is prohibited by Webnovel, all new books (with more than 4k words published) must go through a vetting process by the content editors.

Do not panic if you have just newly created your novel but are unable to see it or vote for it. The editors are extremely swamped so it may take a few days for the vetting process, and as the staff do not work over the weekends, it will take longer for books published on Sat and Sun to be vetted. Please note that we will vet the books on a first come, first serve basis. Please do not DM the staff to beg/demand that your book be expedited in order to skip the queue, we need to be fair to all authors and vet according to the usual first come, first serve basis.

So there, with a quote from this thread, that's the reason for why your book has been locked. Please do not make a thread about it on the forum. Doing so will not speed up the process of vetting.

      yaoyueyi My fanfic also said that it does not support power stone but I never had used any characters like that! I dont know if it is bug or something...can you help me out on that?
      I mailed the service but to no avail! Is it a bug?

          How do I get a refund on monthly privledge if the novel gets dropped that month? Can I email them at that email??

            yaoyueyi there's a new process called vetting where new book must be verified by editor first to avoid spam book like EXP book and customer care book.

                  If a book needs a few days to be vetted, then what about books that are published for contests? Where they have a limited amount of days to amass a following and get power stones? All authors who published on the first few days of the contest would have to wait much longer to get any stones. And authors who didn't start on the first day of the contest, or maybe didn't have 4k words yet would be behind authors who published first? To an extend any author who doesn't publish on the first day of the competition already has days taken away from them, but now they would even more days on top of that.
