I was just wondering what everyone’s upload speed is.
And how you maintain your speed?

I for one am a very slow and careful writer. Not only am I slow, I take my time when editing. I’m sure many people think twice about reading my novel due to the pace of my updates. Hahaha. So it makes me thankful for those that are patient with me.

It baffles me how fast people update sometimes. So I was wondering about others that are able to amazingly sustain their writing. Does having speed diminish the quality? It doesn’t necessarily mean that but I’m sure there’s a lot of pressure.

Should I also increase my speed? How should I go about my easily distracted self?

What I have learned writing for 2+months..

Best is to write after a good night sleep.

A person minds run like a horse at morning.

The second is make a notepad.

Write 10-50 words scenes of your 1k+word chapter in a small page. Write 50 words or important stuff about what you are going write today.

Fastest way to write is first person point of view. 3rd person view is harder but give you more character to work with...

The rest is up to you

Probably a bunch of folks who update multiple times everyday have their stockpiles so that I guess do not affect the quality because they have spent their sweet little time writing those chapters way before they upload.

In my personal opinion, daily writing is likely to affect quality a bit.

I would say take it by your convenience. Do it how you think would help get on paper the best content you are capable of. All the best.

Azzack I've noticed that if you want to make your novel popular fast on this app you need to update at least once a day.

However majority of this fast updated novels are full of mistakes. And I'm not only talking about grammar and spelling but also logical mistakes e.g. some character has black long hair and 6 chapters forward they're having blonde hair and so on.

If you update daily there's little to no time for revisions. Some authors didn't even bother to read what they wrote previously or they read current chapter once and then publish it.

Unless you get yourself an editor it's either quality or quantity.

I don't have an editor. Webnovel isn't the only site I upload my stories to. I upload 2-3 chapters a week which is considered a little slow pace but I want to have time for revisions.

Hahaha. You cracked me up there because I have had this conversation with people. I have given my protagonist violet black hair and I am constantly conscious to make sure not to end up writing something different out of ignorance.

the best quality ones are those that you take time to write so just stack all your chapters (at the very least, halfway before the climax) and queue each of them a day apart

I took years to finish mine (because I was in uni) but that gave me some time to think how the story should progress and worldbuilding.

All in all, just take your time. Don’t let anybody pressure you to update constantly. If your story is good enough, people will come back for it even if you miss a day or a month
