Hay!

I have been creating lots of titles and ideas on novel. I plan on writing novels, but when i'm finally planning on creating the story, it's always getting complicated.
I mean, I know what to write but i don't know how to write it.

It's quite funny, because I've been ALWAYS thinking on how to write it inside my mind for lots of days and weeks rather.
That's the problem, please help me.

I think i feel much better writing on phone and then maybe i'll just edit it on pc, kindly please comment if you have any suggestion.

English is not my main language, so yeah it's also one of the reason...

Thank You!

I still don't understand what your problem is. You're being too vague. Is it a language problem? If so, take classes in English and read more to improve your grammar and language skills. Is it a discipline problem? Set a routine, force yourself to sit in front of the computer and write.

Tomoyuki I think he or she is experiencing a writer's block. I'm also constantly victim of such a thing, so I get it how they feel...

My suggestion is... I dunno, I struggle with this shit too and I'm also doing my best to overcome it. My suggestion is to take a deep breath and carefuly assemble the words in your head, listen to some music that makes your blood boil or watch a scene from a certain film/anime/manga/animation etc that's a bit similiar to the scene from your own novel.

Eloen Well, I understand your point. I had faced it once too. It was long ago when I was just a regular reader here. I wanted to write a story for a long time but just never had an idea that wanted me to start writing. Then, a bug from WN helped me. I remember it being the translated webnovel "When a Mage Revolts". I had commented on the last chapter of the book with, "Shit, it ended!". The funny thing that happened next was...below my username, the label of author was posted. it was a bug and was rectified within 45 minutes, but that feeling was different. and, before I knew it, a story had formed in my mind.

I then began to write it ina notebook, just like a draft, filled with messy scribbles. i added ideas, sentences, characters, etc. everything I could think of into it. then, I began to write the first chapter in it. it was a really awesome experience. it took me a lot of hesitation to start the first word, but after that, words and sentences automatically poured out. all I just needed to do was to move my pen.

before I knew it, I had written my first chapter. i continued at the pace, taking my sweet time to write it. at the end of the week, I published it here. since it was my first novel, I had made plenty of mistakes in it. but still, facing all the criticism I received, I tried to improve my skills.

Stamping the first word is the most important step. The rest will follow suit

Actually, I have the exact same problem. :)

I would say, the first thing to do is just write everything that comes to your head down, wether it be on paper, phone, notepad, pc - whatever. Just jot down everything in bullet points. Then, you can start reading through your words, and as you see the words physically in front of you - you can start forming sentences, plot lines, everything. It's a creative process in itself. If you keep everything purely in your head and don't actually do anything with it, it's very hard to take the first step.

Don't worry if your first outlines, bullet points etc. look horrid or makes no sense. It's just to help clear your thoughts first. You will soon realise that your mind starts to form pretty nice sentences based only on your bullet points even.

You can also try taking part in writing prompts, not to win or anything, but to just get into the habit of writing. I found it helpful for myself at least. I had this idea in my head since april, and now I'm writing it steadily after taking part in a WPC. I highly recommend taking baby steps and getting used to the habit of writing, simple writing - then you can progress to actual story writing.

Writing is hard work, but we do it cause we love it. Just remember, practice makes perfect! Good luck and all the best! :)

I think I know what's your problem. It's like, you've got the idea and all, but there are maybe things like the logic of the core story that you haven't decided yet or that you know the overall plot, but simply don't know how to pour that into words so that it's interesting, intriguing, and have decent length (without being too short or too overly detailed).

Friend, as I understand you. I am experiencing the same difficulties

My advice is to just write.

You think it's garbage? Still write. You know why? Every story seems like garbage when you don't know where it's going. But when you do know where, that's where it gets good.

You can always come back and edit, but you gotto get something on the paper. Don't sit there overthinking for hours. Put something down. When you do, the ideas will begin to really flow and you'll find yourself smiling as you imagine all the possibilities.
