please web novel, make it so that reviews stay.............. i just go to a story with a rating of 4.8 and find out that it is actual trash of 3 star rating at best that i wasted my time trying to read...................... i think people understand where i am coming from, so please support this discussion and to web novel, please remove the feature that makes it possible to delete review.

Incognelo I mean you also need to remember that some authors also deal with troll reviews too. I’ve been given a one star review because I have the other person a bad review on their story, and a two star because they didn’t like how ‘gay’ it was (this is a lgbt book btw, so like come on) - should I let those people bring down my score? I know some authors delete reviews just for the sole reason of having a good rating but there are also other authors that do have a decent reason for deleting reviews (though in the end when I deleted the first bad review- the one complaining about my review on their story- they just gave me another one and then spammed my chapter comments so I just reported them and gave up sigh)

1st- Did you know my story is fantasy romance in female lead section? And if you are male then why you go and read female lead section and give 1* just because you did not like the content?
2nd- I update daily everyday and 8 chapters/weeks so 1* completely unreasonable! You are only trolling around! Even if I only write 'aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa' without any content as long as I update my novel deserve at least 2 star not counting the content at all!
SO you are a shameless male trolling at the female novel section and gave it 1* because you did not like it! And now you are shamelessly complained in forum because I delete your review!

Incognelo I am the writer of two novels but I never deleted a review untill that one time when one of the readers gave a 1* on my second novel coz he didn't like the plot development of my second leads of my first novel.
He said that i am ruining my story and so the second novel won't be any better either.
Reading status - Chapter 1
So I had every right to del review if the reader was rating it based on an assumption. How does one know it won't be good only coz he didn't like progress of second lead couple of the first novel? Where is the logic? At least read the second story, know the characters, the plot and pace and then review. Even a 1* is fine as long as there is a genuine flaw or if I have really went wrong somewhere.
But review based on a mere assumption is just not fair and in such case, author has the right to del it coz it's just sending wrong info to the other readers who may check out the novel. That can pull rating down and drift the readers apart.
One of the reasons why an author might want to del a review and then obviously there is the exp reason too.
So it depends on situation.
And just like godadi mentioned, if you are a male reader and female lead stories don't sit right with you, then why reading them at all? No harm in trying them for a change but don't compare them to ML stories, get disappointed and then post a 1 star. They might not be your cup of tea and it's fine but you cannot really blame the plot or story coz FL storylines are different from ML's. So no point in giving 1star to the author.
