So, I have applied for a contract by June 25 and after five or so rejections, changing the editor, I was able to successfully upload it after many hurdles on July 16. This was the final one and the clear contract.
Since then it has been close to a month and the contract is still in progress.
The Content editor team cannot do anything because it is the legal department.
The process which takes three weeks has taken four weeks and my editor informed me that they might take another week or even more than that.
I was hoping to go premium at least by august if not july. But with the way things are going, It seems I will not be able to go premium by even September?
I am not sure what to do as my patience is wearing thin and I am losing the credibility and trust on Webnovel as a platform.
At this point, I really want to hear what is going on and how many more days I am supposed to wait?
I have already started to shift my other stories to other platforms and if such things keep on happening, there would be a day people would not prefer signing a contract with Webnovel which is already the case right now.

    Dear Sally, the legal team is doing some reconstruction work or something(I heard) so all contracts have been put on hold for some time.
    You're not the only one going through this.
    So please have patience. I'm sure they will quickly solve this once they finish with whatever they are doing.

        Chichii I am really hoping so. But it's getting worse day by day. I mean, throughout the process of getting a single contract with Webnovel team, I have already shifted one of my story to another platform, contracted it and also started earning. This is absolutely making no sense. Its been around one and half month. I am getting disappointed again and again in Webnovel. First it was with the content editor who did not gave me a good experience and now the contract is just getting delayed. I mean, atleast I need a specific time frame to wait. Thats what I ask for.

            Not yet. She said they have manpower shortage and probably they would fast track the process next week.

              Do they really pay the author's who signs contract with them? How much they pay the author on non exclusive contract? Please tell me. It will be a great help to me.

                Sally112425 which other platform are you writing on?....just curious....and as for Webnovel....my friend to got finally done after 3 weeks....u should probably wait a bit more....or try to open patreon for now if u really can't.....I got mine done in two weeks. But that 3 months ago. Just wait a bit....u will get it done....

                    Sally112425 same thing happening for my second novel. My first novel's process of approving the contract went smoothly, I failed three times but at least it still in the time frame that I can bear. however, this past months was too delayed. My novel got rejected five times. Even the last time I submit the contract, a CE checked it for me. And its all okay. But now it got returned and rejected. Sigh. Its frustrating but what can we do? This platform is better than most of the platform for the newbie writer like me.

                    Now I'm going to discuss this with my new CE for my second novel, what is wrong, or maybe legal team is a bit tight on their schedule. But honestly, I submit the first contract somewhere in June. and its been two months. Youre not alone, lets just patiently wait and contact your CE from time to time.

                        Avalondra I know. The only part that is keeping me going us that my new CE is patient and understands my behavior. I hope to not get rejected again.
