So, I'm writing a fantasy novel called "Mages of the North" and it's my first attempt at writing such a story. The chapters are short and to the point, most only having around 1,500 words. That being said, the characters are very detailed, each having a unique personality and skill set, the world-building is fairly decent, but I'm definitely no Tolkien.
If anyone would like, I'd welcome some criticism on my story. I'm not so worried about having the greatest grammar in the world because I'm more worried about just telling a story that's simple and easy to follow, but I'd like some feedback on how the characters are represented and how the story is told in general.
It doesn't matter where you stop. You could read all 16 chapters if you wanted, but I'd recommend getting far enough that you know the characters well enough.
