About getting invitation for contract
TheAdventurer are you serious? Why do they take this much time? If they can't handle then they shouldn't have invite people this much. It's totally irritating. I mean first they will invite you and then make you wait for this long.

heyitsbluejay could you tell me the name of your novel? I saw a lot of contracted novels getting feature while having low amount of views. I don't know what is the standard, but they often talk how your novel has a 'potential', so they send you the contract for it.

they are offering you a legal contract through which you can earn money. Before a contract is formed many things need to be considered. It's not just something that can be rushed.
