I saw some translated novels with italic text.

There isn't any option in webnovel to do so. How what the secret of typing italics?

Anyone knows?

Avidfan you can have italics and bold if you are a contracted author. But otherwise no there is no option.

This reminds me of a time back in highschool during a computer class this girl was telling everyone she can type in Italian, she had changed her font to italics and was convinced that's how Italians typed...

Avidfan if you're contracted and have no such options, ask your content editor about this issue. They might be able to help you.

You actually need to request for it, after you've contracted. Contact your editor about it. That's what happened to me for my first novel.

Avidfan It should be accessible to you. Even then, I suggest you to refrain from using bold and italics. They are only visible when viewed from browser. The same chapters in the app won't have such formatting and would be displayed as plain text.

My honest thought now is that it should be available to all writers. It kinda make webnovel platform a broken platform and worse than msn 25 years ago.
