Well, generally it's easier to find a willing proofreader from your readers fans but it doesn't seem like you've published a story yet?
Anyway, you gotta treat it low-key like a job interview. You want to tell your potential proofreader the genre, and basic synopsis of your story (because if they aren't interested in what you're writing they are not gonna stick around for long lol) and you should also talk about what you probably need help in (grammar, plot holes, tenses).
