None_None_1744 Do you plan on writing a romance novel? I would say the interaction between the characters matters the most since it's a transformation of one's interest/liking towards another. The author's job is to present it in a way that the readers would somehow be able to relate to it and feel it with the characters. You can check out the first two chapters of my book as an example:

But it depends on your own preference -- on what looks good and meets your own standards of what a quality romance novel is.

          Relatability. I think the best romances are the ones that you believe could happen. They need to be logical. A lot of romances are bad when you don’t get why the characters fell in love or are into each other. There need to be logical reasons that the characters meet, interact, and benefit from their relationships.

          Don’t take “logical” to mean there doesn’t need to be emotional connections. I just think that the characters shouldn’t “randomly” fall in love. People have reasons for their actions, so your characters should also have reasons for what they do.
