I think you need book marketing services from a reputable agency, I got my book marketed by amazon publishing central and they increased my book sales by 1200%.

    a month later

There are multiple factors that play in this.
As mention, the biggest ones are what ever your novel is being seen by people. The other is quality of your own work. The other things you got to keep in mind that, 100k words for 7 months might be considered low. In a personal experience a lot of bigger and medium size authors have 100k in 1-5 months give or take. Their chapters might be smaller but they probably upload more frequently.
Besides all of that, they could had already established fans with their previous works (which would also mean they could take it easy).

My suggestion to you is, the next time when you want to compare, check their previous works (if they have any), how frequent do they write and also try reading couple of chapters and the reviews if there is any.
Do not worry to much either, and always keep in mind that it's not bad to check out other people's work. That's how you learn and expend your knowledge and can also get inspired.

Best of luck to you o/

I did a weekly updates - with more word count, and that didn't help much. When I posted daily, I got notified that I was recommended for "Congrats! Novel Recommended on <Fresh Stories>" At least I saw a slight difference when posting daily compare to weekly posting.
I tried to do more review swaps too. But that's the extent of things.
My book is Chinese - not sure whether it's niche so not a lot of ppl enjoy reading it, since there's no system, cultivation etc. The bit abt grammar too. I really hope to be better with it. Some authors point it out (which I am really thankful for it) but most just leave it at the review which I don't know where is the mistake. I use grammarly but there's still grammar and errors which I keep editing.
Overall though, the statistics still look so flat like a dead fish. Haha ✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧ yay me

Promoting books is harder - not sure where to even start.

Sereinchoo I am personally same as you. I am not fluent in English so I used to use Grammarly but now I use word tune, cuz it gives me option to decorate my words better while still does the same thing as Grammarly except with few errors. Few words are free on daily bases if you want to check out the program.
The other thing I discovered is that not many actually mind few errors here and there as long as it's readable and the readers can understand your sentences.
After all, these types of sites are not meant for professional writes. But, that said there are few.
Also, the more you upload the more you will be seen, which is why you saw a jump in your views.
You can also try taking a week break from posting your work and use that time in writing. Then, you can post 2-3 times daily and see how that will work for you.
As someone also mentioned, you should get proof readers. You don't have to find professional proof readers (at least not for now when you are starting out), it can be anyone.
It might be also beneficial to upload your work on other sites and ask for suggestions on their forums. The more u do research the better you will get, and obviously same goes for reading other's novels.

KJDane Thank you so much for the suggestion. I will check out Word Tune, from what you mentioned, it sounds quite good. Yea I try to write on the weekends then post the chapters out daily. Posting daily really helps.

MinxMean Thanks for your insightful comment.
Please, what other websites do you recommend when it comes to novel promotion?

For me, I started writing my first novel on this site about 2 months ago. I don't use much word building at the beginning, but it's a slice of life novel, so I can't tell if the beginning is considered too slow for that genre.
