      MissyRailae Thank you for your review! I loved it! I think you're right, flashback can help tell of the past with more action and less description. I'll keep this in mind. Indeed, the ideas in my novel in the sci-fi genre are new and this was kind of a bet. I'm glad it paid off :)

      Lastly, my genre is no less hard than yours. We're both writing something difficult. Fantasy can be hard to read because somehow it has to fit into the reader's imagination and frame of reference, while at the same time being innovative enough to stay interesting and relevant.

You've left out some unexplained clues there and there, which is interesting and helps to maintain a sense of mystery, inviting the reader to go further in his reading. The action is well-portrayed too.
