Started a new novel, after posting chapter 1, it grew to some 200 views. I go to bed, wake up, and it's at 2.5k, now 3.2k after releasing 2 and 3. Is it bots? Or is it just successful?

It may have been featured. That can lift the views. Or it may have been scrapped. Webnovel books are notorious for being scrapped by thieving aggregators. Not much WN can do about it.

It depends on how mainstream your story is. Once a story gets in the hands of an aggregator, it can go everywhere without you realizing until you happen upon it during a search or someone tells you.

In my case, someone told me. At one point, I had to submit google removals for over 50 links.

Having said this, it's not as bad these days. But there may still be fake Wuxiaworld or Novellhall sites that are monitoring for new material.

I'm hoping that you're view count is from genuine readers.
