If you're doing this for creativity's sake and for fun, you don't need to put much effort into marketability on a website like WebNovel.
However, if you're planning to try and get contracted and win things like WSA then I'd suggest doing three things.
1) Get an overall rating on your novel ASAP -- This way readers can get a general understanding of the quality of your work. Simply getting 10 or more reviews is enough to get an overall rating and give potential readers insight into your book.
2) Stable Updates & Stockpiling -- A lot of the authors on this platform fail to comprehend how determined readers are to continue their story. Keep a relative schedule to your posts and stick to it. For instance, for my book, I always post daily around 23:55 GMT; On Sundays, I go through my stockpile revise them for uploads, and schedule them throughout the week ahead.
3) Pilot Reads & WPC -- You may be ready to get your book out there, but unless it's a new trope of some sort I would wait and continue stockpiling. This is because WPC allows entryways for books with pre-determined plots and recycled tags.
I also insist on utilizing the new 'Pilot Reads' section for your books if they're under 10 chapters as it'll be beneficial for you to see if your work is a feasible idea.
if you're a new author on the platform you won't see any advancements as no one knows who you are yet. You'll have to rely on exponential growth over time. Don't focus on the collection numbers, statistics, or views as they're basically used for readers to gauge a book's publicity.
As a writer your main focus should be to continue improving your writing quality through continuous writing, watching videos, asking for feedback, etc.
Happy Writing!
