I'm a new writer and very new here in web novel. I'm confused as to why my new novel has 404 views. It started with like 40-50 on my first chapter which made me very happy that's why I kept making more chapters. But then, when I found the statistics or something page ( I think it was discover page), I found out that my view counts was 0% in the first place. Does that mean I didn't have any views in the first place? If so, I shouldn't have wasted my time making more chapters and just stopped. Please help.

    I don't really know much abt webnovel too. so I don't understand what you mean by discover page.

    but you need to know that on webnovel, your views are always inflated. you can try by posting one more chapter and keep refreshing your page. you'll see that the views will increase in an unnatural way. This is actually not a bad thing cause it does help new authors to get motivation from it as they don't know how many people are actually reading your book.

    Unless your book is stupidly interesting in the beginning. It's better for you not to know. And just focus on developing your novel as small amounts of chapters do keep away a lot of readers.

    (Tips : consistent update of around 2 chap/day or at the very least 1 chap/day is recommended. if you want to get the readers to add your book to the library

    But if you don't have enough time or energy to do it. Then I suggest stockpiling your chapter first and once you are ready, you can release it as recommended in a consistent manner which will seriously help your novel's growth)

    BUT if you truly wanted to know how many viewers you get. you need to go to your novel statistic on inkstone. And check the valid read. As far as I know, that is the only way.

    Nirinia Just keep writing. As a reader, we don't put put novel inside our library when the story Don't have regular updates and has long go on hiatus at chapeter under 30 for more than 2month.

    That's why you just need to kepp writing, so, You will attract readers to your books. You also can make people realize your existence and your books by becoming active in supporting books of the same genre.

    You comments on their books, their readers, like, and vote, because, curious people will click on your profile and sees that you also write a book.
