As the title says, I want to diss the romance novel with this kind of Brain hole plot!!!

I'm not hating it ... I respect those people who love this kind of novel!! But it's also fun to exchange opinions about what I hate in this kind of novel and what they like!!!

The Novel that I hate is the kind where the main character might be or might not be a Mary sue.

-She could be a genius but hiding it only for the male lead to find out about it.
-she always comes from a bad/broken/greedy/poor/sick/etc family.
-she is a really beautiful girl
-somehow, all the girls hate her
-someone who is kind to her turns out to be pretending
-MC is impulsive (do it before thinking first) for example, the male lead gives her a black card, and she keeps saying she won't use it. But, when she goes to a clothes store for work.. some woman mocks her. The MC then decided to buy everything from the store with the black card receiving a shock from everyone in the store. But, when the bullies left, she want to return everything.
-MC is she is unlucky with the male lead, the male lead clearly hurt her, but she still can't forget the male lead.
-the male lead clearly bullies her, but she still falls in love with him because of his little help in the past (that he might remember but pretend not to, or he remembers it later in the story, or he doesn't know that the girl he helps is MC because someone else is pretending to be her)

• again, mc is stupid
• why is she so stupid?
  -Male lead rapes her, but MC still reason and have sympathy for him
  -MC works at the male lead company, and sexually harasses her, there is even a time when he forces MC to BJ him despite they having no relationship at all.
  -MC works as a maid at ML's house. All the female maid is a bitch and the male butler is an asshole. And the ML is the deepest part of an asshole with a brain full of shit treating the very stupid MC with shit, but MC still fall in love with him because he helps her when she is almost raped by the worker in his house, despite he is the one who treats her worst.
  -why is the people around the ML is evil?
  -Why is everyone good to MC turn evil when they saw ML?
  -the second ML is good, the first two or maybe 5timese he appears, only to turn out to be as much of an asshole with dick and shit stuffed in his brain?
• the side character is good, but they mostly are being blackmailed, by the ML, side ML, the ML supposed to be Villainess fiance, ML admirer, FL secret admirer, some cannon fodder.
  -If FL has kind parents, they are sick
  -If fl has evil parents, they are rich

Well, I've read novels in RR in the past, and I can certainly say that most writers there wrote a high quality novels.

The readers there can also be demanding. For example, a story with a slow build-up make can trigger the reader.

If the story has too many brain holes, that can also trigger the reader.

Unlike web novels, it's pretty rare to find such readers as most of them probably have a brain hole like the writer too.

Nirinia Just keep writing. As a reader, we don't put put novel inside our library when the story Don't have regular updates and has long go on hiatus at chapeter under 30 for more than 2month.

That's why you just need to kepp writing, so, You will attract readers to your books. You also can make people realize your existence and your books by becoming active in supporting books of the same genre.

You comments on their books, their readers, like, and vote, because, curious people will click on your profile and sees that you also write a book.

SrtaA Now I understand it a little. It's like writing something in Chinese format for english novel. For example, In Chinese cultivation novel, we have Sect, Dantian, Dao, Daoist, and more (which I don't really remember.)
Some people who never read this kind of novel will surely start complaining. (I've seen it a few times in webnovel where readers don't understand that words even though, (Like what you said, there's a word for something.)

SrtaA I think, depends on the story, just keep the dialogue close to reality or easy to understand.

It's fine to use a hard words, but if you use it constantly, readers are going to feel annoyed. Because, they can't understand.

Imagine if the hard words are use in real life conversation. And other kids just listen to him talking using hard words just be like...
"Speak human!!!" Because they really don't understand hard word. Not all people learn about this, and there aren't many reader who read here are good at English. There are many that good in English, but hard words is just something else.

Just use common english unless it's one of your character's special traits.

Sureeiya I also use laptop, but what I see is mostly english. Has you try to make sure the recommended book is sort by what?

The valid reads is where you click write, click your books, at the top right corner, there are small bar. Touch that bar, and look for calid reads. That's the reader's count that you can at least trust. Even collection has bot but, it's not as exaggerated as the readers bot. Collection bot only a 1 to 3 different from the original.

Last 6ear, we have comments bot, funny, because every new author is panicking. But, the bot has not runn amok after a week and the story has become a history.

I_liek_rainbowsss has you make sure that you are opening the right account? They will send the code to the account you use to login, not the one you wrote in the profile section. Unless youwrite the same one.

Or, maybe you just open it in the wrong section in the gmail? Has you refresh it and look at the inbox?

Like and be an active commenter to other people and in another book. Make yourself seen by readers of the same genre. You wrote action, go to actions novel, read their novel, react to their novel.
React to their reader too. This action will make you noticed by other people. Update regularly by having a fixed time everyday, or every week at the same time.
I do every 23:59.
Talk a lot in author's note. Not beg them to vote you or something (it works though), sing never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down.
You can do review swap. Some of their review is helpful with the critism, some are good at giving ratings.
Even if the reviewers is not your loyal reader, at least it give the illusion that your books is good.
