I want to ask, does writing a novel base on game elements but using original story counted as fanfic?
For example, i write novel with my own original story, but there's game element like similiar name of skill from the game with different implementation of skills.
Is it fanfic if I use Game element in original story?

I guess it's okay, as long as you don't copy everything from the game, like, the game world, the game characters, the game names, the name of skills, the effect of skills, etc.
If you plan to create an original work, why not make it hundred percent original? Or just 99% because I know we all sometimes get ideas from other books we are reading.
