So Recently I discovered the non-translated Qidian and I must I LOVE IT, but I eventually got to the paywall, I thought it was going to be SS like over here but IT was this nice little buy credits for chapters, and It seems much less janky to use all around, So my question is why aren't they using this method? its super convenient, you just pay like 10 dollars for 6500 credits and then you can get literally get 200 or so chapters (atleast the novel im reading right now) worth for about 2100, thats literally only a third of 10 bucks, whilst over here its super expensive, risky to buy more then you can use in 90 days, and all around is just being bypassed anyway? So why aren't they using this cheaper, less time consuming, safer for the consumer, system of enforcing payment?

Mutt Most likely because there are free chapters released every day here. The non translated ones or RAWS are all paywalled above hundred something chapters. Unlike there, u get free stuff.

Also, it cost the company MONEY to translate (paying translators and editors) than there where the author does work and share profit with the company for providing platform and readers.

Yeah but you could always just take lower credits a bit, and then the credits would be worth more monetary value to those people?

As a consumer, why should i care about translator/author share. It qidian should take care of that.

Shaff You should care though, if those guys are underpaid they might just stop giving a quantity/quality we want, I agree Qidian should take care of that, but at the same time, as consumers we should make sure we are getting ours moneys worth, And their times worth.

If translating is like digging a hole for money, if you got very little money, would you still dig that hole?

Tha'ts one of the reasons snip and snip is so bad for the community, it reduces the income of those translators (and Qidian) gets, and as a company, if they dont get enough money they will have to compensate by either cutting funds to the Translators/editors or making us pay more

This topic is all too common and so is stubnorn. Good luck

adgsad Its not stubborn, its me preferring the other system and asking why it wasnt used. I never asked for it to change. Is Ignorance being stubborn?

Mutt ah ok really sorry. I type from my tablet which won't let me see what I write. The words jumbled up when I edited it. The correct wording for that sentence was qi is stubborn. Second though auto correct might make qi into so not completely sure. Again sorry, please blame Amazon autocorrect
