There are senior authors who can answer the other questions better. But i will answer the thing abt religion. I am currently writing one based on Hindu mythology, which is also BL btw, with some god and asura characters directly from hindu religion. And i am successfully contracted. So, it is fine as long as u do not write anything offensive abt the religion or people who follow it. I myself am hindu btw.

A)What are the do's and don't in your novel if you're contracted?
-Do not plagiarize (copy or steal) another person's work because you will be blacklisted permanently.
-Update regularly as specified by your contract if you signed a contract that you are aiming for minimum guarantee system (MGS)

B)Is there some forbidden words or stuff that are not allowed in your novel, that made it impossible to get a contract? (Ex: Politics and Religions)
Incest is not really acceptable, with woke culture racist novels are now being frowned upon, r a p e is a no go area for some. Politics if it is realistic fiction it should be based on fact because some readers can go off on an author that isn't politically correct or historically sound.

C)Have you ever thought of publishing your novel on different sites?
Absolutely, that's because of the high level of piracy that comes with writing on webnovel but I'm extremely picky about the sites that I use.

D)Like C, why did you decided to post your novel in Webnovel instead of other sites? Could there be a particular reason that you didn't use other sites? Perhaps because of the contract in Webnovel is better than the others?
Webnovel has a wider readership in comparison to others, also the minimum guarantee system was very tempting for me at that time but that is no longer the case anymore
E)Lastly, have you ever regretted signing the contract? And why did you regret signing it?
Yes and No, Yes in the sense that I prefer non-exclusive contract now that I know better but the exclusive contract served it's purpose and still does.

also forgot to add this.

F) Can a minor sign a contract? Or does the parents need to give permission and sign it?
A minor will need an adult to either co-sign or sign on their behalf.
To clarify B. About the use of religion: If you used characters and stories in real life religion in your novel, will you still get a contract? Like using them as world building, and as protagonist and antagonists.

I'm more into folklore than religion. Recently I took Intro to religion and got to know a bit about Indra, Krishna e.t.c, religion in stories if done well can make readers really want to know more about that religion and culture that surrounds it. I really don't see anything wrong in using gods or deities in legends or religion but it is something to ask a content editor on discord.
World building is not really my thing, but many readers especially males like authors that have solid world building skills.
P.S: I may or may not be considered a senior author but as a contracted author this is pretty much as transparent as I can be.
