Stormzz I've got to add a disclaimer to your old review. Although AMJ is a fan spinoff of ATLA, that doesn't mean there isn't any worldbuilding or that it's all from the ATLA series. That's like saying Star Wars the Clone Wars has no world-building because it uses the Prequel lore. ATLA has a lot of original and new world-building aspects, especially when compared to other fan fics and even many spinoffs. If you are judge the world building then you should compare it to other spin offs like Star Wars Rogue One, Batman Beyond, or Teen Titans. AMJ from start to finish further delves into the lore that currently exists in the franchise and as the franchise goes on the world-building only increases.

If you don't believe me go to the Avatar Wiki and search "Avatar: Macai's Journey". Click on one of the character profiles then selected the "Avatar: Macai's Journey Characters" category. You will notice several original characters and factions and they honestly are only a fraction of the new groups added in the series. But I'd hope most people would at least understand the series before they make false assumptions about world-building. In a spinoff, it is important to balance an original theme while finding creative ways to honor the current lore and not contradict it which is a job in itself.

Like Star Wars the Clone Wars, Macai's Journey also builds upon established characters. The Clone Wars series introduces Ahsoka Tano to the Franchise, while AMJ introduces Macai. Many of the characters you see even in the beginning were new characters and over 90 percent of the characters in the series are original.

      Brian_Hanes_117 Yeah that's a miscommunication by my review method. What I should have said (and I'll leave a comment to clarify) is that there's going to at least be some scope of world in the book which I find some novels can be lacking.
