If you missed a check in, you don't. Your net being down, their servers being down, forgetting your phone at home when you went camping... there's any number of valid reasons why you can't check in every day.
Thing is, nobody gives a shit. You miss a day, you miss a day. Consecutive logins restarts from day one and you go on with life.
you can use coin for make up check in but only if that isn't new week, if you miss tuesday example, you can make up the check using coin and continue the streak, but if you miss sunday and week changed can't make up using coin.
