I've noticed that for some books I haven't read in a while have their unread chapter counts very wrong (see attached). The numbers shown are more than the total available chapters for the books.

I haven't noticed this happen with books I read more often.

This isn't really a huge issue but it'd be nice to know how many unread chapters I have left for a book.

    Just open every book then, I never ecounter this bug though.

      Yes, that would fix the issue just now but it's better to have the issue fixed properly so I (and others) don't have the same issue in the future

                    Version 2.6.0 (3a14b039). I just checked again and the counts are still out (Immortal Mortal is now saying there's over 10k unread chapters). It doesn't really both me too much just now and if/when I start reading those novels again, the issue will likely fix itself.

                            Lomacris Still not fixed. It's getting kinda ridiculous now. I have almost 4 novels that have 10k chapters unread and all the other ones have 1k plus chapters unread when that's clearly not the case here

                              I have the same issue here. It seems to be due to the way the data are cached. Because, if I click on a novel which have the wrong number of chapters unread, it refreshes the data and shows the correct number of chapters unread. Moreover it happens only on books that I've not read in a while, so I speculate it might be the way webnovel app is storing data.

                              It might be due to an incompatibility on data architecture between two major versions or the way unread chapters are computed.

                              Also, another behavior I find distrubing:

                              It would also be helpful not to automatically reset chapters to 1 when someone mistakenly click on the first chapter of a novel. Maybe showing a prompt dialog or something to ask if the user really want that (or adding a reset button somewhere). Because it's annoying to find again the last chapter you read when it happens.

                                  akuma06 It's different for me. This happens in almost all of my novels. For example I read a novel 2 days ago and since then 2 chapters have been released. It usually says that I have 5+ chapters unread.
                                  I didn't find any pattern as novels that have less chapters sometimes have the same or an even higher number of unread chapters displayed.
                                  I just hope they fix it soon
