What requirement does one need to get contracted after publishing a book on Webnobel?
Getting contracted
call_me_mirror To get one, you must have at least 20k to 50k words on your novel and it should be a original novel.
If you do daily updates then there are more chances of WN noticing you
I'm not sure my novel is only 14 chapters and 16k words long and they have already sent me the contract proposal 3x.
iron_faye You will receive a notification inside INKSTONE. You might also get an email from EMP Publishers who offer a non-exclusive Contract.
H0racio Novels participating in the Spirity contest become eligible for the Contract as soon as they hit 12 Chapters. Your novel is in the Spirity Contest, in case you weren't aware.
IMPLICATION okay. How about joining WPC?
MayDreamer Okay, thanks.
Grateful for all the responses
IMPLICATION how does one get an editor after hitting 12k words?
MayDreamer 20k words? Isn't it 12k? Or it's a new thing?
Anotoki Well the ones I talked to said it's 20k to 50k
Leigh_Green Only when you get contracted you will get an editor

to receive a contract is chosen by content editors. We do not have a checklist of what to hit to receive one, but here are some ideas to get offered:
-Write above 50k words if not offered yet
-Be engaging with your readers by replying to comments
-Update daily. The more posted per day the better
-Get onto trending
-have a marketable novel, one that would make profit for both you and WN
-have a unique interesting take on the genre you are writing
-grammar should be readable with little to no mistakes
Good luck.
@Grand_Void_Daoist
We need you, man.
I got contracted but haven’t gotten paid yet who do I talk to
Katie_Torres_3147 I also hope someone who has a contract can answer this question.
Katie_Torres_3147 You should try taking with your editor
authortinnnnn Tin, no self promotion on this forum other than the thread that states SHAMELESS PROMOTION. Please follow the Forum guidelines.
Katie_Torres_3147 I suggest checking your inkstone. If it says paid, then you should check with your bank to see if there was any holds.
