There are lots of great books with Black and Brown MCs. I got three responses so far; all three were great, and exciting to read. All three were FL. Unfortunately, they don't get highlighted on webnovel even though they are contracted; so, readers do not know about them. That is part of the reason why I am doing this, to give them love that they more than deserve and promote them a little however I can.
I myself read BL books and the few chinese danmei novels I read never had any Black or Brown character since they were based in ancient China. XD
Also, this weekend I am gonna update my first post with the books that I am supporting and short summary and link. :D I will bump this thread from time to time so that they catch eyeballs. :D
reestuds That only applies to ML stories may be? When it comes to FL stories though, all I see are western stories but with white men and women. All at the top of trending and highest earning because the readers themselves are white women and I guess they have money to spare? I don't know. But, that in turn always get them on the top spots, powerstone, trending etc. which generates more income for those kinds of stories which results in more of that kind of stories. This is really a vicious cycle.
As a Person of Color, I only look to read stories where characters are person of color, because that is easier for me to relate to. :D
But again this is all for FL. Hopefully ML on webnovel has more diversity. :D
