How is anyone supposed to get readers on WebNovel if no matter how many chapters are published, no one notices? There are other pages where people can see recent chapters of any novel, but on this page, our novels are not visible to anyone. So how can anyone get a chance to read your story?

I have already seen dozens of good novels that died simply because this page advertises the wrong novels. An example of this is the Potential Starlet section. Novels that take weeks or even months without uploading chapters are promoted.

I understand that you can try to get readers from other pages. But what is the meaning of that? It's the same as uploading your story to Amazon or anywhere else.

Trying to grow in contests is good and bad. In the end, they are forcing you to write something very fast so as not to disappear in the classification. Which in the end leads to one making novels with countless mistakes and an incomplete story.

Anyway, I think that WebNovel has a lot of readers. But they need to organize the page well to give a chance to the people who upload daily chapters and who already have the required number of reviews.

LordYangStar Honestly, I have nothing to add, and I've been a little frustrated with this for a while. Even a recent chapters or newly added novels section/page would help. As is, the only way you'll find recent updates is if you deliberately search for them in a specific genre. I would hope this gets changed, but I don't really foresee that happening now or soon.

RomanceFanatic028 Totally agree. WebNovel really needs to start thinking about the new authors we strive to grow on a daily basis. But unfortunately, many of these authors give up at first because they feel like they are writing in vain, as there is no way anyone will ever find their novels.

RomanceFanatic028 I hate ghost reading the most. Why won't you say a thing or two to appreciate an author who gives you something interesting and satisfying to read? At a point I got fed up and was about to quit writing, but then thinking of the four to five people that has supported my book with powerstones for a while, I couldn't dissapoint them. I thought, if it's only for them, I should make them happy. So I continued writing just for those few people, until another platform approached me for a contract. Days later webnovel also approached me for a contract. I didn't know if I should be upset.

I even stopped asking for a review swap because some of those authors aren't sincere. I just watched my collection numbers drop sometimes, meaning someone just dropped my book from their library and my own library is full of their books.

Hassy_101 I completely understand. I also try to get authors to help each other, but in the end, they are authors, not readers. So, in the end, they forget what you do for them. But the point here is that WebNovel doesn't help us get readers.

RomanceFanatic028 Selective Review swap is advice but accept the fact some might just read the forst two chapters of your story and then leave. Thank you.

RomanceFanatic028 I give you an external form that is not so bad. You can try uploading your novel to Royal Novel. There the page works well, which makes people realize when you upload a chapter.

LordYangStar yeah, I also noticed. They only help the books that are contracted. I wouldn't blame them though, after all they are doing business. They didn't knee to beg us to come to their platform. They sent me a message last week stating that my book is being featured on weekly feature. Since i was too busy to check, I missed it. Even though it was featured like they said, I think I only got one or two collections.

Don't let it bother you too much, try advertising your book on social media and writing on other platforms too. If your book is good, it will receive a good response.

Hassy_101 That's exactly what I'm doing, only if I find it a bit exhausting to have to do all those things when I also have to write daily.

LordYangStar I don't even have the enthusiasm I had when I started. The stress and disappointment discouraged me a lot, but I didn't want to give up.

Two... I wanted to prove to someone who called my interest in writing rubbish.
