Who needs a girlfriend or boyfriend when you have Han?! (I still do). We hope to bring you the complete GDN this November. As many of you know, the GDN ending is a bit subpar (sht, nonexistent) as the author left the ending to our imaginations. We feel that our first project shouldn’t be ruined by a rushed ending like this so we thought, why not get some input on how to end this series from our readers? We want to gather some opinions and write an ending for GDN for you all in time as a Christmas present.
We would do a mass release during Christmas, but then other translation groups would be doing that, and we won’t be special anymore. So, we decide to start mass releasing, on Singles’ Day, to remind you that, other than your left hand (or right, whichever one you use to polish your rocket), there’s still GDN and Han that will accompany you through this lonely night if you are single. (6 chaps/day for a week, then 2 chaps/day till we are done)
And then, I will let you know where you can leave your comment so you can let me know what kind of details you hope the ending should include.
It’s been a good run, let’s finish this novel together. The massive explosive discharge will start on November 11th, and while we wait, let’s get some introduction out of the way cuz our big bossu asked us to.
Small sneak preview of the next book we are rubbing out: it’s a softcore porno.
Introduction of the Team:
Noodletown Translations, also known as Noodletown Translated, is comprised of a bunch of university students that have some free time on our hands, as well as a love for literature. And also student debt, a lot of student debt, but that is unrelated. True story.
The university we attend boasts the world renowned Richard Ivey School of Business, regarded as one of the best international business schools in North America. However, only Udon (Co-founder #3, also Translator of Commanding Wind and Cloud) out of all of us are actually in that program. However however, that doesn’t stop our tuition being expensive, since the school needs to fund those new fancy buildings.
We’ve been around for since March 2016, and were adopted by Qidian December of the same year. Our experience with Qidian has been great, as we were provided funds and resources to expand our team and start new projects.
How did we start?
Hey guys, this is Udon! Beside translating Hail the King and Commanding Wind and Cloud, I have many other identities. I'm currently a 4th year university student attending University of Western Ontario, and I’m looking for a career in finance in the future. Where did my journey start? One of my first year university roommates, A.K.A Cumcumberstrips asked me if I'm interesting in Chinese Webnovel Translation one day, and I said: "sure"! It was as simple as that. When I'm not translating and studying, I enjoy working out and cooking. One of my goal is to open a great restaurant when I retire in the future. Although I'm looking for a career in Finance, I'm going to stick around and contribute to this community. I believe despite the fact that this community is young, it has the potential to become something really big, and I do want to be with it when that happens.
Meanwhile~
“Woah dude, people pay 50$ for bonus chapters for these books!”
“Woah really?!”
“Ya dude!”
And that is how Cucumber Strips and Black Bean Sauce started.
Goal
As a team, we want the books we host in the future to become one of the most frequent chapter releases while maintaining quality, with all translators focusing on one at a time. So, if you see our name behind a novel, you will know that this novel’s gonna be fast as fk boiiiiiii. Look forward to our EXPLOSIVE DISCHARGE, of chapters.
In the future, we aim to become the fastest group, and we also want to create an opportunity for University students to be able to fund themselves with this flexible career opportunity. That is why we have started this translation company that markets recruiting towards students. Wow, we are so nice.
Impact on our lives
We might not be able to sleep as much as before, but at least we get to sleep in the comfort of our smaller students debts.
Oh and the big bossu wanted us to include pictures from our lives so here it goes:
Mooncake (Cucumber Strips’s doggo) in her natural habitat. Goodbye bathroom privacy.
It wants me to wipe my ass with hands after I sh*t
Co-founder number 1:
Co-founder number 2 during an emotional meltdown convo with Co-founder number 1
No need to blur him.
And here's Udon, cofounder 3.
