I've been writing my first Novel for a few days and it's quality was super bad with typos and grammar errors everywhere, luckily I found grammarly that time. Still even after I fixed all the typos and error Grammarly could find I still think my novel is on a first-class trip down to dumpster fire. I wanna know when is a novel considered a failure so if I somehow lose interest in writing my novel I can just drop it when it looks like a failure

It's simply best not to give up. You won't always get things perfect at the first time, especially with writing unless you're some type of prodigy. A lot of ppl have to do revamps and restart their novels to get them to work. It can be a pain but you need that will and determination to not allow the lack of attention quality to keep you down. Keep going and working on your novel and it should become better over time.

The only novel "failure" is an incomplete one. The moment you finish writing your story, it's considered a success, regardless of how bad you perceive it to be.

The point is that you at least have a story to edit and improve, as opposed to not having one at all.

DaoistzyN7zW I had mine pulled out in here since my genre is not welcome in WN. LOL! Even though I trashed it and probably wasted my contract but still I am writing on own pace. Consistency is the key.

Prince_nonchalant Thank's for the motivating message man. So let me change up my question, In your own opinion when is a Novel considered TOO bad? Based on your preferences. Although me and you probably have different preferences I still think it'd be good to have an idea of what readers with similar interests as you hate.

DaoistzyN7zW Honestly, my opinion alone wouldn't be enough to cover such a large topic. However, I would consider it bad when the author doesn't push him/herself to do better. You should always be willing to improve. But there's one thing I've learned while writing. If you don't like your novel then there's a good chance that others won't as well. You need to have the confidence to believe what you're writing is good. It starts from there.
