Synopsis: What if you were forced to enter a Rift that gave you superpowers but also turned you into a monster?

After a Calamity that took out a quarter of the Human population, Humanity stood back up, stronger than ever before, and conquered the source of the Calamity.
A few centuries later, in a world governed by Superpowers, Ragnar has lived an adventurous life. From loosing his parents at 7, to serving as an enslaved Assassin till he turned 18, not a single moment had gone by where Ragnar felt bored.
Now that he is 18, he escapes the fate of slavery, only to find out his path ahead had already been decided for him. He does not have the right to choose.
