    They did it because there are several websites that copy and paste their extremely overpriced premium chapters from the website. It is harder to do that via the cellphone app.

    So, to spite the copycat websites they have decided to actively make their website worse.

    This is just another in a long line of anti-consumer moves and broken promises from qidian/webnovel.
