Dannnnz I think the bug lies within the deleting of a chapter because some of them deleted a chapter and it got banned or something this what I thought yesterday because before I deleted a chapter I can still publish just fine then when i deleted a chapter it then gets banned.           @Dannnnz I'm an idiot, I went back to edit the chapters to remove mistakes thinking this bug was fixed, it removed almost half my chapters :'( I basically deleted all the chapters after chapter 5 and reposted them, thinking that since the publishing was working, I could fix it that way but it didn't work

            Pegazz if it got fix later on don't try to delete anything that is already publish if there are mistakes put it in authors note because the deletion of published chapter is the cause of the bug

                SpeshelWolf even updating causes the same thing... I thought yesterday since I was able to publish it will be ok if I update it... then boom I realize how "genius" I am hahaha! I'm just going to go and write in a corner and hope for everything to be ok then publish everything I've written in one go I guess.

                    anotherfan well mine seems fine i just published my fifth chapter today because the 4th got stuck by the ban incedent yesterday so i didn't do some editing first cause i know that the bug is still not fix they just lifted the ban meaning if the problem was in my 4th chapter that just got it's ban lifted i shouldn't edit it for the mean time.

                                SpeshelWolf in my case, my chapter disappeared after I edit it. I haven't publish new chapter, so I don't know if my chapter will show up or not.

                                    Hi guys, As fellow authors, based on our chats at the discord server. We know of the few issues that exists right now.

                                    1) If you have already published a chapter, do not, I REPEAT, do not attempt to edit or correct it for now. As updating it will completely remove it from the table of contents.

                                    2) There seems to be an existing delete issue for published chapter based on reports. So do not attempt to delete it as there may be an issue that arises on your account on inkstone where new published chapters will not post as well.

                                    3) For now, authors note is limited to 500 characters, not words as mentioned in the alert. So try to keep those down. I don't know about the author's note bug that was mentioned earlier so I can not elaborate on it much as not of the other fellow authors seems to have suffered.

                                    For my part I have not suffered any publishing issue, yet. I use the publish timer feature to release my chapters daily. So I don't know if that can help you. The default setting of the timer is 30minutes after your current time. It can be adjusted accordingly.

                                    Hope this helps and please keep calm.

                                    Webnovel/Inkstone staff are working on it since the issue started yesterday. We are not private messaging them on discord right now so they can continue working on it here and receive your issues.

                                    For those that have lost chapters, I would personally just advice new readers on your synopsis as a first line notation that Webnovel servers have an ongoing update to its system which have affected your chapters. They are working to resolve the issue. When that is done, this note will be deleted.

                                    That way, your new readers are informed and do not mistake jumbled up or missing chapters as poor storytelling.

                                          OmnipotentDad same dilemma here!!! My chapter 49 went missing and my chapter 50 became 49! Same with my chapter 50 and 51.

                                              I Created this novel and have 2 chapters in inkstone currently. After going back and editing the chapters because of a suggestion from a review. Now that I have clicked update on both the chapters. The second chapter is displaying as chapter #1 and the first chapter does not show up on WebNovel at all. I have even tried to remove both chapters and re-add them again, the same issue persists. I can not seem to find a way to get my first chapter to show up on the site anymore.

                                                SpeshelWolf the only reason the chapter was banned is because it contain special characters (non-english character) Since there were many Korean advertisements, we banned novels using non-English words, which affected many normal novels unexpectedly. The programmers are fixing this bug.
