Favyhm23 sorry if this is too late but let me answer u. Basically webnovel blocked reading chapters on the website letting us read only the first 10 from each novel or fanfic before making it mandatory to download the app and read there if u want to read anything anymore, so obviously all the non english speakers ( because the app doesn't have a translation function) and the pc users hated this and were very angry. This led to complaints and more complaints then people started giving the app 1star ratings and leaving webnovel for other sites like fanfiction.net _ archive of our own _ spacebattles _ sufficientvelocity _ scribblehub ... This morning we found out that the fanfics section and the unlocked chapters in the novels section can be read again. So YAAY

Raume Raume Thank you for the information, but at this point, I will probably delete my account and take a loss on the few coins I have. It is not worth the trouble. Other sites offer similar stories. The authors here will definitely lose money, as FANS cannot purchase chapters/bundle chapters without the app. Here is my complaint:
In the last several days, Webnovel has been forcing FANS to download ITS Webnovel APP for all devices (laptops, readers, IOS...etc.). When I first discovered this site, it was optional; now, to continue to read, I am forced to download an APP I don't need or want.
I was able to pay per chapter and purchase chapters in "Bundles." These options are completely removed, so to continue reading or even pay for chapters "FANS," have no choice but to download the APP. As a FAN, I feel greatly disappointed in this decision, whether by the authors or upper management, to force its FAN BASE to download its app just to read. Not only will the authors lose out on revenue, but fans like myself will go elsewhere for their enjoyment.
==Note: After reading the few free chapters, I will be removing stories from my library since I am unable to purchase chapters. I do not see a reason to keep it. I will also be posting this complaint in other books to show my displeasure.

ominon I did not realize non english speakers would mtl on this. I was scratching my head puzzingly since I can read novels, looks like I'm late too the party now that it has been solved lol.
Personally, I think the problem is solvable. Just do the same thing Faloo does, no one can copy/paste and people can still read works. MTLNation also had that function at first but took it off because its dumb to not to be able to copy/paste in it.
I wish WN was more focused on their website, its worrying because we know nothing
zero_m Thank you for the alternative site recommendations I will definitely look through all the above-mentioned. I have reached out to several writers and asked if they post on other platforms, but as of now, I have yet to receive a response.
Darkload well I'm not in any sides though. But the truth is, they aren't forcing you to use it, are they?
It's your decision to use the Webnovel or not. It's your phone or your laptop and your mind. You get to choose what stays in it.
If you don't want to use it anymore, I guess they're still thousand of people who will.
Besides, I just feel they were only trying to make the whole thing easier for us.
In short, you get to decide what should be in your phone or not.
No harsh words though.
