hi, i was offered a contract a few weeks ago. until now i still can't decide whether to choose the non exclusive or not. i'm scared because i've read forums and discussions from other platforms that says its a scam or that its a bad idea to sign a contract. but i really need money for college so i wanted to ask u guys if u can give me advice on what i could do? should i accept the offer? and if i accept it will i be able to sell my work to movie directors? (its my dream to make my work into a movie :>)

    jag_writes If you are that serious about your work then it's better to get the non-exclusive contract. It wouldn't be so easy to get a movie adaptation here Lol. Once its contracted, that means your giving rights of your work after all

        How is it possible? You have only 7 chapters and less than 20 collections. Is it possible to get contract in few chapters, view and collections.

            jag_writes Also the help page clearly writes that the novel with at least 50,000 words is eligible for a contract to be offered. At first i thought it might be a scam but then i read your book. I think i know why you were offered one. Anyways I am an absolute newbie on this platform so i am not sure of the authenticity. It will be better if you seek help from the mentioned editors and help center to know more about the terms of the contract and then determine how it will effect your work.

                Rainbow420 oh you meant how I they contacted me for a contract? they first messaged me on wattpad and i proposed to make a new book for the contract rather than my book on wattpad. sorry i got confused
