In "Advent of the Archmage", Link's have to face the Dark Elves Black Moon Conspiracy. The Dark Elves want to free the Demon Tarviss which is sealled in the land of the Magic Academy.

Knowing the content of the plot he decides to inform Herrera and the Dean, yet they don't think much of it. But Link does know the original timeline where the Dean fight against the deamon and die in the process. So here is my question:

Why doesn't Link lend his second Scroll of Enlightenment to the Dean to make Him stronger and win a more powerfull ally?

    Sechiro i am in the132 chapter and from what i know he know about the scroll but not have them
    But even if he have the scroll it tok time to be stronger by them it not woek imiditly

          He still needs the scroll (have to gather 6 for secret information) and doesn't want to take the chance of losing it. Also, it isn't known how long it might take the dean to learn the scrolls information. It is unlikely for the scroll to raise him to the needed level 8.

          Thank you for your response! What you say is true but I've think about it a little:

          • Even if he is afraid of losing it, it is gamble with possible high reward and not high risk, plus he can ask for payment from the Dean for this information. Furthermore, even if the scroll is lost it doesn't matter much to him because it has been recorded by the game interface (see chapter 134)

          • As implied in chapter 156, When Link is in his familly castle, he uses the Scroll to work on his thesis over a couple of days. So It shouldn't take the Dean more than a week to make some profit on his understanding of magic out of the scroll.

          • Lastly, in the original timeline the Dean manages to fight the Demon even if he dies in the process. But it has been some time from then and any advancement he can make would be able to make a differenceand allow him not to burn his soul even if it doesn't allow him to reach level 8.

          Am I mistaken? May be I am thinking over it a little to much ;D .

            Sechiro Link was planning on getting a rank 8 attack spell with an element that counters the demon and even then he wasn't confident in being able to beat it, because it is basically top tier among rank 8s with its natural demon powers. Even if the dean reached rank 8 it is unlikely he'd win. In the previous timeline, even after dying he only chased the demon away after it destroyed the academy.

            I haven't seen anywhere mention that the scroll itself isn't needed to access the legendary information. It's said by Link that by gathering all 6 scrolls, the scroll with the secret information will form. The scrolls themselves each have their own information that Link said could possibly let someone reach the legendary rank if they learned it all.

            I do think it is worth him giving the scroll over though. The character that first mentions the scrolls says that by possessing one, you can sense the location of the other scrolls, which Link didn't deny, so he could reclaim it later if lost.

              you've got a point. And it raises another question. I don't recall Link searching for the 1st Scroll of Enlightement, which have been in the hands of Magician Bale (chapter 102). why Link didn't try to search for it as soon as he got the second? Or have I missed something?

                I see that he have way whith the ston of prophesy he dont need something that going to take a lot of time
