Were you aware that the points collected during reading expire?

Just now I got several notifications stating "x points will expire at the xxxx". Surprised I went to the store to spend them but had to notice that I seemed to have much fewer points than I remembered having. So I checked the consuming history. Seems like over 70k points expired day after day since January 1st of 2023. Why didn't I get a notification like I got now?

So I checked in with the help center and this is what they told me:

"Kindly be advised that the points accumulated from October 11, 2022 will expire after 90 days. Furthermore, all points issued prior to the said date will uniformly expire on January 15, 2023."
and
"Apologies for the late response. Please note that all accumulated Points from October 11, 2022 (GMT+8) have a validity date of 90 days. And all Points obtained prior to the said date already expired last January 15, 2023 (GMT+8). This was updated during the Points Carnival event last October 2022."

Before January 1st of 2023 I can't see points expiring for me.

Did any of you read this announcement or were aware of expiring points?? I feel cheated right now and they won't give them back for me to spend now. Did you experience something similar?

My 20K+ points expired as well when it didn't before. I think they've updated the rules again without prior notice. I just saw the help page updated the info about expiration and I don't recall it being there before. Didn't get a notice as well unlike earlier today that I got 2 notices about some points expiring.

Same here, I posted about losing over 15K points last month and there was no official response yet. However this month we got notified about the expiration of the points...

I'm starting to really feel like this platform is no longer worth my time 😑

Yeah I noticed I've noticed I've got loads of points that where 'consumed' but they had just expired. More reasons to hate this app

I do remember during the last points carnival that it said points would start expiring after Jan 1st. But I swear it said 6 months not 3 months. Now I’m getting alerts for points expiring in February.

Same. In one day, 31k points β€˜expired’. No notification, no heads up in my inbox. Poof, just gone. I would have used them on a frame or badge had I known. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth for sure.

It's not the first time. I lost a bunch around March last year and mid January this year.
Those two largest points expiration days amass up to 125.5K points lost...

Webnovel rule like a tyrant and dictator. If there is a new app and company that does the same thing these guys do, I will jump ship in a heart beat. They don't deserve any loyalty.

These guys don't even treat their whales well either. They just keep sucking like a black hole with bad customer service.

Netizen1 They don't really care about their customers. They just calculate how much more money they can suck out of you until you get fed up and quit. Or they know we can't quit as we are addicted book reading druggies

Yeah, i have the same issue, i had 90k points expired without notification today, i dont understand how they think we can use the stupid points if they just PUFF, expire like that, even points that we had before the event, even worse when badges/portraits and more are stupidly expensive. I got from 170k points to 5k in over a week...

Jude_Madakor I think that's the point. Webnovel doesn't want readers to get anything for free. They want you to pay for these things. This can be seen in all their "events."

I am a new user, not much points lost but seriously, the daily accumulation of points I got, now turned into a notification nightmare where Webnovel reminds you everyday. You got 20 points expiring soon.
      It's everyday - daily notification =...="
