Littlegirl78 er gen's novel is not er gen novel without some sad romantic element and sad family life.(since you saw spoiler, you should understand both of them) .
But that is his forte. Just look at the one novel he tried to end happily(a will eternal), the last 100 raw chap became sh*t, despite its first 100 being the best of his books.

First thing I read was about WL's relationships. Now total there are 3 girls. One of them is Li Muwan. I don't know why but from the very beginning I was always hate her. I read at least from 5 sites and all of them was different so I am not sure but probably at the end WL could be together with Wan'er or he suicide. But it says he will appear at the ISSTH. 2nd girl was good girl. She loved him dearly but he just cared about Wan'er. And I read something like that 2nd girl and WL were lovers in their past lives. But one of them was a fish and other one was bird. They were saying something like this that we are know both humans we can be together. But in the end WL was together with Wan'er so my brain... But there was something like that WL felt guilty and be her lover or something. 3rd girl is disgusting. When I read tjis part I wasn't understand anything. It says 'They were talking then something happened and they had a sex.' What kind of thing is this??? Then she got pregnant and she gave birth to a son. But she talked bad about WL so jis son hate from WL. So WL hate from 3rd girl. But later when she came to him while crying. He forgave her. Our WL. Who cares about his family the most!!!! When someone told a little lie for saving their own family he normally killed them and doesn't care about their cries. (Even if they were his friends). It was terrible..

About other things I couldn't find much but he went to another world again. Joined at the Ancient Clan or sonething like that. Had a normal master(probably). Being stronger and stronger.

So Limuwan is the main girl, his whole journey was in his pursuit for her revival. HE achieved it by Sending his most powerful Clone named "Slaughter"(which became a separate being from Wang Lin himself) into the past to give the Heaven Revolting bead to his past self. His Slaughter Clone succeeds but as he also loved Limuwan he stayed in the past looking her over, watching his parents from a far.
While all this was happening, Slaughter also did stuff like giving a little girl the name "Butterfly" who eventually fought the true Wanglin and also travelling the whole world while showcasing his power.(The clone is powerful than the true Wang Lin as it achieved 4th step before true Wang Lin could.) Due to this , the Slaughter Clone showoff his power making other peak 3rdstage cultivators to sucide as they think that they are in a dream world that Wang Lin made.
This remain true for the real wanglin(At his present time line) as people think he is just a clone of the Slaughter and they all are in a dream. During the end of novel Wang Lin finds the method of revival and rips out Li Muwan out of the reincarnation cycle making her a 4th step without all the mumbo-jumbos he had to go through to become one. and the Slaughter Clone merges with Wang Lin again because he also loved Li Muwan early and couldn't live without her.
Now that that's over.
We get to the 2nd love interest or the whom I call the BITCH!! Liu Mei wanted to devour Wang Lin's domain to strengthen her own domain which was actually Ten Thousand Ruthlessness domain or something, and due to outside interference her domain turned into ten thousands lust domain and she and wang lin accidentally had sex.(Cliche ) But the story starts differing as it seems that Liu Mei got pregnant(It's harder for cultivators to get pregnant). And her hatred of Wang Lin start bubbling inside her, she was defeated by him in body and soul. SO as the disgusting woman she is, cultivated her unborn son into a resentment spirit, a high class dangerous spell that shows ruthlessness to herself jus tfor her revenge.
When Wang Lin finds about the fate of his son and watching his son gnawing at his own finger, Wanglin Claimed to fix him while he tries to kill Liu Mei which was saved by a family elder(Who eventually died suffering from Wang Lin's untamed wrath.) Feeling the dread for the first tiem in her life and her fake conviction she killed herself and drifted in the space while calling Wang Lin Heartless due to only loving Li Muwan a woman he never even spent much time with.
It is much later that we find out that the previous Limuwan was just a clone of the heredity cultivator belonging to the strongest cultivation sect in Alliance star system. Her technique was wasted as one of her thousand clone lost her virginity(Cough Wang Lin you dead.)
SO you can understand what kind of story follows here.
As for the other girl, she is good and a nice woman, but I don't know much about her as she never had much impact on people.(though they actually lived as a family in multiple dream worlds made by "Slaughter")

P.S. all this Bullshit was forced on Wang Lin by Heaven Revolting bead, this small bead has the power to alter and guide fate, Wang Lin(the God) acquired it from Su Ming(the Devil) the MC from Pursuit of truth when he traveled to past. This bead was made by Su Ming.

Littlegirl78 I find Er Gen's romantic tragedies to be lovely. The MC's partner will never lose her depth unlike other Xianxia's romance where lines of females will be MC's love zombies. They'll be devoid of other feelings aside obsession to MC. And the so called "romance" genre here is all about gold digging and gender bending.

I do agree with the bad endings. I dropped his novels at the last 200 chapters for some reasons. It's just the inconstency of quality on his novels. The latter parts' decline of quality is too obvious. I just don't get why he always have to write another new book at the middle of a current project.

But I don't think this Er Gen's fault because wuxia, xianxia or xuanhua novels are neither harem nor terrible with female characters. Killing lots of people without blinking is OK. But talking with girl is OH come onnnn!!!!!

Littlegirl78 can't really complain much about the romance's pacing since most of his novels' main genre are still Xianxia. However, the dialogues/monologues when it comes to their partner is still sweet and doesn't seem too forced.

Unlike your usual narrative where they described how pretty the girl is, then MC will make a rape face. Something will happen, boom they are in love. But this seems to be more of your cup of tea, young hearts want those stories with meet cute beginnings or love at first sight nonsense. But of course, the man should be rich. Women, amirite?

Water0202020 indeed, and the rape part ain't included on that one. That's why I never set such high expectations on the romance part. Er Gen is somehow great on pulling the heart strings regardless of the lack of presence of a female lead.

Every time a woman appears on a Xianxia you'll know that trouble is brewing. Women described with oval shaped face, big clear eyes, brows shaped as a phoenix, milky mountain peaks, jade like skin and a plump bottom are Mob magnets. Mobs with usually strong fathers or have a grandpa that dotes upon them. That's why I never complained that Meng Hao and the gang never seek woman companionship as strongly as other MC's.
