i believe that the voting system is only there to give readers something to do while they wait. I don't dislike the current system because i believe that novels that are ready to be released to the public shouldn't stay in the queue and wait until they get voted first, or that they should wait until all of the novels that are before said novel are released (because that would be unfair to the fans of said novel) . Because what if no one wanna read it (so that no one votes for it)? does that mean that the translator should scrap all of the stockpile that they've already translated? or does that mean that it's justified for the novel to stay in the queue?
for example, say, i like "the little prince", but "the alchemist" has more votes, the translator for the "the alchemist" decided to stop working on that project and quit in the middle. the translator for "the little prince" was ready to released his/her works 2 weeks ago. As a fan of "the little prince", i feel that it is unfair that my novel has to wait to be released just because it hadn't garnered enough interests.
I believe the voting system, as it is now, is for translators to gauge the interests of the pre-released novels, and if their novel is on top of the queue, it's an indication that maybe they should hurry and release the chapters.
and hey, i'm not going to refuse free spirit stones. the system seems to be working just fine, why do you insist on making it complicated?
