You could read this one because it is the original series however, I really want to get more reviews for the Sequel project. So if you really want, you could read the first chapter of AMJ to get an understanding of the story but it really won't tell you much and you might be lost. Then you could read 9 chapters of Lingering Tensions. Or you could still to Macai's Journey which is a 77 chapter story (that's meant to be 4 different volumes/seasons) and just explain to me your impression of the first 10 chapters (though the first book is 16 chapters).
