which one is correct?
If ending = author no longer have the desire to continue and just make any possible end as soon as possible
if complete = the story has finished all things that happen during story written without leaving any question or cliffhanger

I waited 2 days , and suddenly see a banner about Immortal Mortal , and came to forum , whoaa that was such a BS end, infact it cant be honestly considered as an ending . I feel really connected to this novel , i was there when the first chapter went UP , and was so gratified at 3 chapters a day speed ., I recommended the novel to every dog and cat i knew , the climax is a real let down.

it'll be terrific if someone manage to chain the author to a desk and force him to read IM to an audience and then to listen the comments ... it may help him A LOT !!!

It would help the readers get a understanding of the authors thoughts regarding this ending if the afterword was also included in the translation.

TBH, Immortal Mortal doesn't feel like a novel with a planned ending but rather a novel which the author wanted to drop and therefore rushed the ending.
For example Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality is also a novel which actually has what many would consider a sudden ending.
But its end point is clearly where it had been planned, though it had a few open plot points regarding the Immortal Realm, given its title.
The author left an afterword saying that this ending was planned and that he would write a sequel recording Han Li's adventures in the Immortal Realm at a later date.

The 1st option you presented seems more closer to reality since the ending of IM felt like it was a rushed, half-ass job.

goose five is much worse than mad snail atleast madsnail literally dropped a novel he dont want to continue but goose five dropped a novel and called it an ending he's so pretentious

I started this novel because of how attractive it was and how a mortal managed to be the most powerful of all, but already in the final stretch the author dedicates to shorten everything, killing the sworn enemies in just a moment and what to say of the end, it would seem that One more chapter, it was disgusting and I was very disappointed, I have nothing with the author but it was a shame for those of us who read to the end.
