Since the current translator is always busy and there seems to be no new translator so I would like to request for someone to pick this novel up.

My post still stands. With these false promises not even able to translate 1 chapter each other day. I would really like it if they just dropped the project and passes to someone else instead. That would do us all a favor instead of giving us false hope and making us refresh every time just to check if there is a new chapter.

I agree. The novel is great but the translators aren’t doing their jobs. If it was a blog or a fan translated story I wouldn’t mind but QI tries to be a professional translation site and with this translation rate on some of its novels it is anything but. They should ask at least 7 ch. a week from their translators. If you can’t translate 1 ch. a day then you can’t call yourself a translator. Move on and leave someone more dedicated in your place because it’s plain to see that your heart isn’t in the right place. That doesn’t mean that these translators are bad, it’s just that translation is on the 2nd, 3rd, etc. place of importance for them. And that should be unacceptable for a seemingly professional translation site.

P.S. There are translators who have stocks with over 100 ch., and we can’t get 5-7 ch. for Way of the Devil? Get someone that really wants to translate the story or just put it on hiatus. At least we’ll know what’s going on. This waiting for a ch. for 5+ days is worse than knowing that the translation stopped.

Thanks.

Evander That is what I mean the inconsistency and fake promises give us hope which makes me going back to check very frequently just to see if there is a new release just like what happen to chronicle of the primordial wars. Of course eventually with 2 months or more of checking it frequently I gave up all hope of it ever having a release by the translator. Either they translate it at least 5 chapters a week or just drop it. We all know translating and real life is a taxing job but if you sign up as a translator for Qi we at least expect the translator to be more professional than those that just translate as a hobby. Just leaving all the readers like this is an insult to all of us.

FormerObserver You’re right. And another point. Instead of pushing severel uninteresting novels a week I would prefer just one a month. A novel requested and desired by the community. I can’t even remember when I added a new novel from their “offer”. Or I added it and deleted it after a few chapters because it was either a bad story or poorly translated. I want quality over quantity. Sometimes, less is more.
