Ai probably can't generate image exactly as you imagine in your head but it can generate a lot of images easily so at least you'll have plenty of choices.

                  Sure, you can use it as cover for your book. I'm not a lawyer but I think the latest law said that ai generated images can't be copyrighted so others can also use the same image for their books.
                  I won't worry about it too much though, I'm sure most authors want their own cover image.
