The writing is very investing, the introduction I wasn't too keen on because I love to learn more about characters as I read (but that's just my own personal thing). You had an excellent hook, starting it off with the death and chapter 3 was just even more intense. It made me want to look deeper and keep seeing further down their paths and future, like, "things have to get better for this guy".
