The second novel is Carefree Path of Dreams. It is about cultivation bit he isn't part of a evil sect. The character itself is more lowkey and slightly cruel. He cares about his benefits first.
The third novel is mostly likely Reverend Insanity.

It's not a whole novel about it, but it fits perfectly to what you are looking for. There was this One Arc in 'A Will Eternal'
Where MC had to go undercover in that evil sect (Blood Stream Sect) and the novel in general is full of Comedy. Gets repetitive after several hundred chapters maybe but if you only read that One Arc it's still/should not be a Problem. Highly recommendable
