instead of buying spirit stones for premium novels, we could buy the whole book at a set price where the readers would unlock all presently locked and future chapters of a book so we can get rid of the ss hassle
would this work, tell me what you think~~
Hey Qidian, what if
that could only work if the book is already fully translated since they are paying translators and editors... I've notice that after the promo of two week free unlocked chapters for 2 novels they are all now fully locked from chapter 101 - and so at least for mmorpg legendary guardian.

Myros Wait for a novel to become completed. You MAY find a volume on Amazon later on. I believe WN/QD promoted this.
Myros They don't want people to realize they are charging $200-400 per book, more than 10 times what they cost in China. That'd make them look bad.
Krazyguy75 they play with people's want. Some people willing to pay more for a better, faster, easier thing. That what they exploit, if the reader willing to wait patiently until the novel complete and buy in Amazon, of course they will pay less
I'm reading a few books that have over 100 locked chapters some even costing 17 spirit stones to read a small chapter that's about 1 page long
Also I don't even know why chapters get locked
Myros Not enough money in that!!....*Sigh

SweetsTomato Their problem is that it isn't sustainable. If everyone had to wait chapter by chapter it might work. But as is, they'll reach the end of a book and new readers will see 1500 locked chapters at 10 SS, and look to buy 15000 spirit stones. And find that is several hundred dollars. And they'll leave without starting.
This system works great for abusing whales who've already started reading, but once the book is finished, it will no longer be viable.
