prettydimple Basically, understand the readers and have an award winning idea. Understanding the readers as in what they want to read so you better read some of the famous works on web novel and try to understand what they are looking for and create something similar. Some things I will tell you are that 1) Tragic stories don't do well and 2) You need to give them fulfilment in every chapter. Writing in popular genres will help but you have to stand out from the competition. For example, if you write about a kidnapped girl forced to get married, sold to a vampire, a helpless princess forced to get married but finds love in that marriage, A dominant Alpha and submissive female or if you prefer male lead stories, writing about system will ensure popularity. Alsoo brainstorm as many ideas as you can if you want to keep your readers along the long journey. Novels with 100+ chapters will encourage most readers to read the story so keep writing and update daily. Don't expect to get readers before ch 20, if you do you're lucky and I'm jealous of you.

You novel most likely haven't been vetted yet.
It is done manually within 3-4 days once your novel reaches 4k words. samantha1 Not at all. The author only get's 30% or 50% of the profit depending on the contract they sign. Most authors choose the non exclusive contract so they recieve only 30% But that's what webnovel tells us and we have to take their words for it. They do not however show us how much the book actually makes so you never know.
A lot of these authors in webnovel does it full time. So, the author will most likely get 24 dollars for 800 chapters. I think 80$ is perfectly reasonable for a good novel with 800 chapters in it.
Zero_Onze Most of those sites are committing piracy. I don't recommend it.
Well, there is multiple ways to collect fast pass now.
- In WSA 2022?
Nerdy_Joker_101 They did on webnovel app? Sorry, I didn't see it. Also I don't see the title of WSA 2021 gold prize winner attached to the novels like they did in 2020. I wonder why they didn't...
- In WSA 2022?
I was wondering the same thing. Last year they started the event on March 31st, I think. If I knew when WSA 2020 started, we could compare it to 2021 and figure out the timing. But I don't.
They haven't announced WSA 2021 winners publicly either though I can find it on google. But I can see a questionnaire for 2021 participants. So, maybe it will begin soon? I'm guessing April 5th -30th.
Authors, what was your experience in writing a webnovel? How did you began? Did you immediately gained readers or did it took a long time? How did you feel during the writing process and most importantly what motivated you to keep going?
