  • WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL Is the protagonist like the dense Japanese protagonist? Is the romance never gonna progress? I have read reviews about the protagonist being a virgin through the whole book. Is this true? If so, I'm not reading this book.

    • I'm currently reading this book in mtl and it's been 271 chapters out of 1873 chapters.
      <SPOILER>

      I have to say, it's been very enjoyable reading this book. The MC isn't an op cultivator like Tang Xiu from Returning From the Immortal World, so he has to be careful with everything he does. There are a lot of funny moments like the ways he deals with his enemies, i.e. framing them. The hacking moments are a little hard to understand unless you have some knowledge of programming/networking. There's a lot of racism, so the author changes the name of the countries, China to Xia Nation and Japan to Wo Sang Nation. The novel makes every country other than "Xia Nation" evil and glorifies "Xia Nation". The only thing that sucks is the pacing is so slow and even though the MC is arrogant, he keeps worrying about "Marriage Law" in Xia Nation, but he's just like your dense Japanese MC. The author intentionally gave him low alcohol tolerance because most of the romantic moments are when he's drunk, but the final line is never crossed because he passes out. The MC is an idiot because he keeps rambling on about how everyone new person he meets isn't simple and has a mysterious identity, but he's the one with the most mysterious identity. He also rambles about how he's a "World Summit Grade" hacker and you hear about that every chapter.

      I don't know if all this sht's gonna keep happening, but this novel is a lot better than these "Evil Consort Empress" or "Ghost Monarch's Beauty" bullsht. I'm gonna keep reading it and if there's no plot progression or romance progression in 100-200 chapters, I'm gonna say not to pick up this novel, but if it does, pick up this novel.
