GoGo says the guy with no brains. Lol. Talk between friends but posting in a public domain where hundreds of readers can see it and say, "Oh, there are pirate sites? Let me check."
You are not being forced to pay anything. You are given a choice, you are given means, and you can make use of them rather then pirating novels. You can create multiple accounts and earn 20 a day with each of them, you can just wait chapters to be free, or you can pay for so much less and get so much than what people pay for chapters in patreon. No one is forcing you, but you are spreading data about pirating. This is just incredible. Ridiculous, if I may say.
derangedlol I am willing to bet that if they put up a pay wall, they will leave the market and file for bankruptcy in less than 6 months. I'm not willing to bet when, because I still have faith they are not that stupid. But I'm willing to bet that if they are that stupid, then their fall will be faster than their rise.
GoGo Hahaha, haven't done research? Do you know what the biggest pirate site in China is before piaotian? Do you know how Baidu pirated it all? Lol Do you know what the most popular ways of pirating is? Do you know the specific google drive folder where all chapters are update daily for epubs? You go to different sites, you do adblock. But hey, look at this shit:
http://www.wuxiaworld.co/top/
6k clicks at day one, do you that this site alone has a few million clicks in an entire month? This is actually the worse pirate site, because there are better ones I don't even need to name. You are the one who needs to do the research. You are the one who needs to look at how much damage you do not just to qidian translators, but also to the entire translation scene.GoGo Innocent. Wahahaha. Promote pirating, innocent. Such bullshit. Even etvo is asking people to return to the proper translations once people "is done pirating qi novels".
Let me repost my other comment in the other thread.
Do you truly believe that people who pirates will come back to wuxiaworld, and other fan translation sites once they see the not ad-infested and all-in-one pirate sites? You are not just ruining qi, but also the entire translation scene. So you are a pathetic little bitch, and you deserved to be called as someone like that.derangedlol They are giving respect by not putting up a real pay-wall. Creating such a massive community with loads of content that even a month isn't enough to read all of them is already worth paying respect. They just suck at pr, but that doesn't mean they never listened, and they never did research about the current state of the translation scene. 7 a week, after all, is still better than the pathetic release rate from years ago. Anyways, I do respect your opinion, and I was highly against QI during the old debacles that happened. But, after spending so much time reading here since I quit editing, I know that QI is superior compared to the other fan translation sites out there.
GoGo I tagged you, and I don't talk behind your back because this is public domain and everyone sees my post, including you. I tagged you specifically so you can see and you can keep in your mind that you are a pathetic little bitch who is encourage pirating. Also to let readers know that you are pathetic loser who is worse than how people make qidian the devil. People like you ruin the translation scene, not just qidian. Do you truly believe people will return to wuxiaworld, volare, gravity and other fan sites once they start reading in the all-in-one aggregator sites that is not cancer-infested with terrible ads? People act in self-interest, the more people know about pirating, the more the losses for every translators not just in qidian, but for the entire translation scene.
derangedlol You already said it. Translators are already paid for it. QI paid them to do so, and that's the difference WXW and QI. Without QI paying them, they won't do anything. Isn't that a very simple fact? Patreon is a bonus since the translators of QI are already paid for their job.
Patreon and premium is not the same, but for paying readers, premium is such an advantage that is a massive bargain. For free readers, however, it just became worse, but not as bad as the inconsistent less than 7 a week of other fan translations, and not as bad as people make it out to be.
derangedlol Milking them dry. Hm. 70 USD per bonus chapter is not milking people dry? 100 USD for 20 chapters is not milking people dry? You still get free chapters. Look at some of WXW's novels. Less than 7 chapters a week, asks for 100 USD in donation to provide more chapters in said week. And people pay for that. Now, without the 5000 ss bonus, paying 50 USD in QI, which is equal to 2500 SS, is equal to to 150 chapters at least. Now that's a bargain. You say qi has terrible business practices but ignore those who do so much worse.
QI made terrible pr decisions, but who is to say who is wrong or right? Do we all know the content of the contract? Didn't WXW file a lawsuit against QI? Do we have any status about what is happening over there? They have massive failures in public relation, but the content they put up provides hours of entertainment to people, and you can't ignore the fact that compared to any other sites, with the exception of Wuxiaworld and a select few, QI is practicing so much better industry practice.
Hahahahaha. Guys, full story at qidian's discord. Check out the discord link in the main menu bar to join!
Flaffy Industry practices, my dear, industry practices. As for policy, I heard they heard your voice, but it's Qidian, took them half a year to proceed to the next step, let's see when it'll come.
Also, it's not getting a little old. Before becoming vocal about something, you should do your own research. What is the business practices of the other giants in the translation sites? What are people used to? Now, you broaden your horizon, what is being done in a multitude of sites with subscription model, or you can just go to facebook and twitter, how much of your information is being sold? It's funny. The moment you enter the internet, your information is already a product being bought over.
The big translation sites has always used paypal as the medium to pay their translators and editors, to receive donations from fans. There are other methods, yes, but paypal is the most prevalent, not to mention patreon. I don't have any idea why do you even bother about your argument in this post. Paypal is proven, paypal is what people are used to, QI will add more functions, but it will take time, so they prioritize what is already being used in the industry.
Flaffy That was told a million years ago, with everyone explaining they expire in 6 months. Honestly, what are you on? You're so active in the forums now, but you are not active during the time when everyone was made to understood the bonus stones expires while permanent ones do not?
Hahaha, then don't read. You wish for people to argue with you then not listen to them. That's self-entitlement at its finest. Kudos to you then.
QI can improved, but if you stare at them, you will they are nothing but an early access game that needs to thrive to implement more features. One year ago, QI didn't have a book of answers, didn't have mods, didn't have developers who answers to bugs, and didn't have a forums for anything—AND NO ONE WAS COMPLAINING LIKE A LITTLE BITCH LIKE YOU. QI will improve, but it will take time, it will take money. The implementation has been slow, any changes, any improvements, they all come with time. And here you are, just because QI released a new feature, demanding all the changes, all the betterment that QI has been implementing and developing steadily the past few months to come right away. I don't understand? Where were you when QI didn't have all this shit? Where are the posts in NUF? You only say about QI will improve now that there is a new feature, but don't say all this shit when QI was at the beginning phase of the forums, when QI didn't have mods or devs fixing things. Hahahaha, you're a funny little "flaff".
